The best pet is a pet that pays for itself.  Of course, you said, but what do I mean?!?

This weekend I met a friend of a friend who has a very beautiful husky.  He said he always get stopped on the street by people who want to take picture of his husky.  So one day he took some DIY professional shots of his dog and sent them to a bunch of dog modeling agencies.  Within weeks, his husky was booked for a photo shoot.  Now his husky gets about two photo shoots a month, bringing in $300-$400 per session.  That dog of his completely pays for himself; his modeling fees cover all his food and even a little extra.  Call me tough or what not, but this would be the kind of pet I want. 🙂

Note to self: lesson learned–if I ever want a pet dog, model after the example above; invest into a good breed; spend the time to maintain my dog so it can model.
